I’ve been testing out Kizik shoes to see if they live up to the hype, and today I’m sharing my thoughts! As a busy mom of two young boys, I prioritize comfortable, practical, and easy-to-wear footwear. In this review, I’ll cover everything you need to know about these slip-on shoes and whether they’re worth the investment.

Imagine a hassle-free shoe that allows your foot to slide right in without having to tie laces. Many mom influencers I follow have partnered with Kizik, promoting the benefits of these shoes. After seeing countless ads, I decided to try them for myself, paying out of pocket for an unbiased review.

So, are they worth the price? How comfortable are they really? And do they wash well? I’m here to answer those questions based on my experience.

Kizik Shoes Overview

Kizik (pronounced kiz-ick) is renowned for its innovative design that allows for easy on-and-off wear. You can forget about the hassle of tying shoes! The patented compression heel design sinks down as you step in and rebounds once your foot is secure, making them easy to put on without any adjustments.

Kizik offers footwear for men, women, and kids, along with accessories like socks and shoe care kits. From athletic sneakers to versatile white tennis shoes, there’s something for everyone!

The shoes come in various materials, including mesh and water-resistant options. I have the mesh style, and I love how comfortable they are and how easy they are to clean.

My Experience with Kizik Roamer

For this review, I’m focusing on the women’s Roamer in Sand color. I wear these for walking and casual outfits—essential for busy days when I can’t bend over to tie my shoes.

As of this post, the Roamer comes in 12 colors. While I typically choose neutrals, I appreciate the fun colors that aren’t overly flashy. The Sand shade is a light beige that hides dirt well and pairs with everything, unlike my previous bright white sneakers that were too high maintenance.

Kizik Shoes Review: The Roamer

Initially, I was skeptical. As a mom, getting my shoes on while juggling kids and bags can be a struggle. However, after trying the Roamer, I’m pleased to report they are fantastic! They’re incredibly easy to slip on, look stylish, and are comfortable. They’re lightweight and easy to care for, too.

One thing to note is that these sneakers feature functioning laces. When I first tried them, they felt wide, but after tightening the laces, they fit perfectly. Keep in mind that not all styles may have this feature.

Also, I recommend breaking in the shoes before wearing them for long periods. I made the mistake of wearing them straight to the zoo, and my feet were sore after four hours! Lesson learned—break them in first!

Pros:

  • Expands to fit the foot comfortably
  • Cushioned footbed
  • Functioning laces (may vary by style)
  • Soft, breathable material
  • Easy to wash
  • High quality
  • Versatile
  • Lightweight and flexible

Cons:

  • Needs breaking in before extended wear
  • Higher price point

Overall, if you’re considering Kizik shoes, they offer a blend of comfort and convenience, making them a solid addition to any busy lifestyle!
